1995 Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec: Paint Correction + CQUARTZ
Godzilla Lives! Terror Reigns Supreme!
Arguably one of the most widely recognizable lineages in the automotive world, the Nissan Skyline GT-R will always hold a special place for enthusiasts and collectors alike. This unique example, a third-generation / R33 GT-R, has been extensively modified by our friends over at Boosted Creations for this client. Once all of the work under the hood had been completed, it was time for a detail!
As you can see in the video above, it needed one! The thin and sensitive paint on this GT-R required us to take absolute care while detailing it. Even just preparing the surfaces for paint correction and CQUARTZ ceramic coating means we would need to remove all debris gently. A soft rinse, foam cannon, and hand wash started us off on our way! Multiple stages of paint correction were required to gently massage the paint back into ultimate clarity prior to coating.
Along with the detailing, replacement emblems were supplied to further improve the appearance! The “V Spec” badge was on the incorrect side of the trunk, among other details. Full wheels-off detailing and ceramic coating were performed, multiple layers of CQUARTZ applied to the paint, and interior detail and engine bay detailing too! All round this vehicle, major improvements were made. It certainly made an impression at this year’s Street Scene car show in Syracuse!
