BMW X6 & CQuartz Coatings
The current generation BMW X6 is quite striking. There are many that hold strong opinions about this car as it represents a changing BMW line-up that is catering to an ever widening audience. Despite its crossover nature the X6 is a very attractive and well-heeled CUV. This example came to us in dire need of intensive care and less than a year old. Numerous tunnel washes, along with a trip to the dealership that left some unsightly paint touch-up work, had this one looking older than its age. We set out to revive it inside and out with an intensive 2 step correction, two coats of CQuartz Classic on the body and CQuartz DLUX on the wheel faces along with serious interior care.
CQuartz Classic is the original coating by CarPro that started the company's legacy of creating industry-leading ceramic coatings. It offers an extremely durable, hard glass coat which will help protect against minor scratches, acid rain, bird droppings, corrosive traffic film, tar and harmful UV rays. As well as having excellent protective abilities, it also offers a deep, rich gloss with incredible self cleaning properties which makes future washing of your vehicle faster and easier. Now- on to the service!
Interior
The interior received our Deep Clean interior detail to help rejuvenate the many leather surfaces in the vehicle as well as return overall cleanliness to the cabin. This particular X6 had a gorgeous cognac colored leather interior that was back to its proper satin finish after our service was completed.
Exterior
Initial Condition
Winter had definitely taken its toll on this one and the long drive from Ithaca showed! We dove right into our complete exterior decontamination in preparation for paint correction which includes our 24-step hand wash along with a chemical decontamination featuring CarPro products, and a nano-clay decontamination. After that it was time to begin our correction to bring gloss and depth back to this paint surface.
Paint Correction
The goal with this vehicle was to create the best possible finish within our clients budget. Some areas of the vehicle had scratching and other major defects that were not possible to safely correct completely but we knew our intensive 2 step correction would reawaken the true color & finish of this BMW. After our service, this X6 was practically dripping with gloss! We were so thrilled to be able to create this stunning result for our client. Every single exterior surface received two layers of CQuartz Classic and now the owner gets to enjoy superior protection for the remainder of this winter months along with incredible shine! We are so honored to be able to continually share our passion for all things automotive with greater western New York and this case was no exception.
Delivery
Delivery for this service was unique compared to our usual procedure! We valeted the vehicle back to Ithaca for our client and provided an on-site wash to take care of any dirt/grime we picked up on the way there. This was so the owner could experience the same results as we had when we finished the service in our shop! We were fortunate to have had such lovely winter weather.
