Here at Areté Auto Salon we strive to deliver the highest possible standard of auto detailing to Rochester, NY and the rest of western New York. In general detailing is defined as, "the thorough cleaning, restoration, and finishing of an automobile, both inside and out, to produce a show-quality level of detail." While we agree with that definition we like to add that detailing also serves to extend the life of a vehicle. Auto detail to many people has become synonymous with road side tunnel car washes. 

It's not every day you get to participate in an event like SEMA. Over the years the show has morphed into the largest auto aftermarket trade shows out there. It draws over 100,000 industry professionals from all across the globe to come see, and buy, the latest and greatest products out there. It was truly an honor to meet so many of our coating suppliers, especially the CarPro guys, in person for the first time as well as to spend time with other industry professionals we don't see often. 

"Growth" doesn't even begin to describe 2014 for us here at the shop. Although we have essentially lived in the shop over the course of the last 12 months, the business is going full steam and our reach seems to be growing larger each and every day. In 2014 we expanded our reconditioning options, added new paint protection systems to our line-up, established relationships with great local shops, started breaking fresh ground with dealers, and have really tried to step up our imaging as much as possible. As a whole we have been humbled and honored by all that Rochester and Western New York has given us.

Here at the shop we constantly strive to bring western New York the absolute best in coating technology. We are so honored to be included in the group of master detailers that install coatings, especially on a car of this nature!

The C7 Corvette has proven to be a true world-beating car. The styling is aggressive yet elegant and the interior is the best its ever been. Chevrolet has shown with this car they can make truly great automobiles again and is really a milestone in how far the American car industry has come in the last 5 years. The owner of this Lime Rock green example opted for great shine and long term protection with a durable ceramic coating. She also opted for a wheels-off detail along with coating of the complete wheel as well as coating of all jambs. She trusted us to preserve this car for a long life with her with the Arete treatment. 

After we wrapped everything up we had some time to give this car a proper photo shoot. The Opti-Coat really deepened the shine of finish and the car is now protected for many years to come with proper care and no need for waxing. It was an absolute pleasure to take care of this C7. It is very well loved and we know that it will always have something new and interesting added every time we see it.

The Tesla Model S is truly a product of the modern era. It has proved that electric cars could be practical, beautiful, luxurious, and accessible. Tesla, as a firm, has placed itself in the hearts and minds of techies, car enthusiasts, and futurists alike. Being in one really imbues the sense that you're already in the not-so distant-future where logical infotainment interfaces meet equally elegant interior design. There is really nothing that's comparable in the automotive market today. That is why it was such an absolute pleasure to be able to care for one and start the car's life on the right foot directly off the truck. Our customer elected to have a ceramic coating installed directly after the delivery of this lovely white Model S as well as a little bit of new car prep for the interior. He trusted Arete to prepare this car for its life with him to beautify and protect his investment.

Sometimes a car can leave such a huge impact in your mind that you continue to revel in the beauty of that particular machine long past when it leaves your vision. I think we all have been there as children and into adulthood. I know as a child I had die cast models of all sizes and sorts depicting various super cars of all generations. There has been a truly daunting amount of unique and interesting automobiles through the doors of the shop in these past few months, but one stands out in my mind more than all the rest. The car I'm referring to is a lovely Nogaro blue Audi RS5 that Arete had the privilege to protect for it's owner directly after it was delivered.

Sometimes a special piece of history comes to you in a way that is unimaginably beautiful. These moments are often unexpected and come at times when we need them most. Here at the shop we have been feeling an outpouring of gratitude toward our customers and the surrounding Rochester community from which most of them hail. We wanted a way to give back to show how much we appreciate the support we've received thus far. This is when we were approached by the American Cancer Society B. Thomas Golisano Hope Lodge Hospitality House here in Rochester to donate our time for an upcoming gala benefiting cancer research.

In life everyone goes through monumental experiences that leave them with a feeling of pride and accomplishment.  Not many of those can top the feeling of buying your first brand-new car.  The joy of picking out the model, color, trim package, and add-ons really leaves a sense of extreme satisfaction. The idea of a perfect car made just for you is something you just can't get when buying pre-owned. That's exactly the case with this 2014 Jetta we performed a new car prep on for one of our owners, Eric, but unfortunately the car was far from perfect. In addition to our new car prep process we gave the paint a coating!
